This week is International Babywearing Week (8-14th October) and we would like to celebrate this by providing you with a review of a great sling that the Mumsclub team have enjoyed testing. As any new mum knows, you want to spend all your time snuggling your new-born baby only to discover that that’s all they want to do when you need to do something else!
The BabaSling baby carrier website tells us that it is a revolution in design, comfort and simplicity. The hammock style baby sling is perfectly shaped to support a newborn’s developing spine, while providing essential closeness and bonding between parent and child. With no less than five positions and easily adjustable straps, theBabaSling can also be safely shared with grandparents, older siblings, and caregivers.
So, as busy mums, does it do what it claims? Whether you’re looking for something to use every day, a carrier for a special occasion, or slings to match every outfit, the choices of slings on the market are amazing, whatever your style. The Babasling is available in a range of colours, so if you wanted one to match every outfit, there is A LOT of choice!
The first thing that struck us was that it really is easy to use– simply adjust the straps according to your torso length and you’re ready to go! Previous experience with different slings has meant struggling with wraps and weight ratio whilst trying to wrestle the baby into the sling but with the Babasling there was none of this. Once you have figured the best position for you and your baby, the rest is easy!
There are lots of different positions and working out the one that best suits you and your baby isn’t always best to do when the little one just wants a cuddle but as they grow, you can use it in different ways, rather than having to buy new slings, the Babasling grows with you and your baby.
