Do you know a mum who’s business shone in 2011?

The idea behind our awards is to really focus on the work and successes that working women achieve, with particular emphasis on starting up. I think we all deserve a pat on the back – no matter who we are, and to receive an award from your peer group is superb recognition.

I am delighted that this year’s headline sponsor is MyFamilyClub. Gemma Johnson, the CEO of MyFamilyClub is a previous winner of a Business Mum Award, and has become a good friend of mine. This photo is me presenting Gemma’s award.

Other award sponsors include SnoozeShade, The Mumpreneur Shop, Your Little Monkey, and YUU World. In fact, all sponsors are previous award winners who are passionate about supporting the new generation of entrepreneurial mums….I am thrilled that they have all chosen to support us back.

So, we’re looking for all sorts of business owners, from inventors to party planners and franchisees to small handcraft enterprises that have grown into national sales outlets, we want nominations to recognise those mum owned businesses that shone during 2011.

The awards will close for nominations on the 15^th February. News will be updated via social networking; twitter, facebook, here on my blog and the mumsclub community forum.

With a new range of categories this year, plus the popular wildcard award, there are more opportunities to walk away with a trophy.
