What are the key features of the products or services that your business offers: specialist fitting advice and wide range of bras to suit all sizes and occasions.
Why should customers and clients use your services? Specialist free advice before purchase, free returns and exchanges and people who care!
When & how did you start up in business? June 2004 - by accident!
How did you decide what business to go into, and what was your motivation? When looking for breastfeeding bras for feeding number 2 son, I was sold a bra that fitted one week and not the next. I did some research as I wasn't particularly pleased with this, and the rest you can say is history!
What were the most challenging aspects to setting up? Putting money in that we didn't have, just to see if there was a need for something that I felt was needed.
What has been your biggest business achievement? Customers comments that we've really helped them, and the number of referrals that come from word of mouth.
Have, or do you do anything out of the ordinary to benefit your business? Offer good customer service - but nothing more than I expect myself.
What stage is your business at now & what are your plans for the future? We've just moved out of the home office and into premises with a shop front. We'll be able to do fittings at the shop from the end of August. I hope to have fitters in other parts of the country in the next 2-3 years
How do you manage to juggle your business with family life? Has it been challenging? Don't know really - it just happens. Life is challenging, this is just part of life.
How has online networking, specifically with other mums, benefited your business? Good support network and sharing ideas and suggestions.
What resources do you NOT have now that might make your life easier? Finance to grow the business as I would like!
What advice would you give another mum considering starting her own business? Do it, but take it as steady as you need to fit around your family commitments
