Cosmopolitan’s
Ultimate Woman of the year Awards 2009

Nominations for Cosmopolitan’s Ultimate Woman of the Year Awards 2009 are now open.

In 2008, the awards honoured women (and men!) from across the country for their achievements at a glittering ceremony held in Banqueting house in Whitehall, London.

Our inspirational winners were honoured in categories including Friends, Woman’s Woman (won by Refuge CEO Sandra Horley), Ultimate Man and Future Fashion Star. Charities and organisations which received widespread local and national publicity thanks to our winners and nominees' involvement included Breast Cancer Care, Hairdressers Against AIDS, Fairtrade, Born Free and Ignite.

In 2009, as last year, the categories are open, meaning that if you know of any exceptional men or women who deserve Cosmopolitan’s top accolade – whatever area they excel in – they can be nominated.

It could be someone you know personally, someone exceptional working with or for your organisation, or just someone you’ve read about. You can even nominate yourself.

Anyone at all that you feel deserves recognition can be nominated.

Email us at ultimatewomen@natmags.co.uk with your phone number, the name, age, and contact details of your nominee (if you have them), plus an explanation of why they deserve to win.

This year, we’re expecting the awards to generate even more press interest than ever before. So please nominate your women and men of the year, and check back website for more information and regular updates of the awards. Closing date for nominations is the 17th August 2009
