Wholesale Bead Business for Sale

JP Aitken Ltd is a home-based business providing sterling silver beads and findings (components used in jewellery making) to retail bead businesses in the UK, France and the USA.  I created the business and designed the majority of the silver components, which are made in Asia and imported into the UK. I have built up my customer list and now supply major bead companies in the EU and theUSA.  I am moving to Canada and have decided not to run the business from overseas.

This business provides an opportunity for the creative person who would like to work from home. I have been operating and growing this business from my home office while caring for 2 small children.

You would not be starting from scratch with this business, you’d be filling orders the first week.

Earning potential

In its current state, the business demands very little time every week (possibly 5 hours a week for one person) and would earn you a salary of about £900 a month.  I have introduced about 10 new products in the last two months and they have been taken up by major companies, so I would estimate the monthly salary earning to increase to about £1200 per month with no extra effort from the new owner. 

I have weathered the recession quite well, and as the economy improves so will your sales and earnings. This business has the potential to grow dramatically if a new owner will seek out new buyers (especially in the EU and USA where I have just recently made inroads). Earning potential and sales could explode even further with the creation of a wholesale website.

Selling Price

£26,900 Firm. This works out to £14,900 of sterling silver beads and components (simply handing over my inventory at cost) plus 12K for the business.

Included in the Price

Inventory, the ordering codes to all of my designs, packaging for mailing, introduction to my customers and my manufacturer, my catalogue, inventory shelving, and most of all--my goodwill.  I am on a personal basis with a lot of my customers and to protect the business I will help you all I can to make the transition as smooth as possible.

I am moving at the end of February so financing would have to occur by February 8^th, 2010.
