  Maid2Clean
Franchise

Description of Company:

Maid2Clean was set up in 1993 by Elaine Hanrahan following the birth of her first daughter alongside her desire to never have to work for someone else again. Elaine set the Maid2Clean Cleaning agency business up so she could work from home and bring up her family at the same time. Over the next ten years she grew the business to a level where hundreds of cleaners received work from her on a weekly basis. For the next 10 years the business went from strength to strength until she decided to franchise the system in 2003. There are now (Q4 2008) 85 Maid2Clean franchisees (many of them mums) trading throughout the UK, Ireland and Canada.

Maid2clean is a management cleaning agency Franchise that offers a proven business package to people with a real desire to start their own business as Maid2Clean® franchisees.

95% of businesses and franchises operate on a 'shop treadmill' type trading system where you have to work just as hard each month to maintain the earnings of the previous month; with Maid2Clean®, franchisees see their income increase month-on-month, quarter-by-quarter by the 'snowballing' effect of residual income generation.

The concept of Maid2Clean is to find cleaners wanting work and marry them up with domestic householders who want a cleaner.

Jennifer - Maid2Clean Glasgow
I’m Jennifer, based in Glasgow, and starting my own Maid2Clean business is the best move I ever made. Now in my third year of trading, the business has been a great success with steady growth each month since day one. The bank reckon I am the best sole trader franchise business in the area, and they deal with literally hundreds of businesses, so I am well chuffed.

Success has come through a combination of hard work from me, and expert guidance from Mike Hanrahan, the franchisor. Mike’s initial training is straightforward and easy to understand, his operating manual covers every aspect of the business in great depth, and, if you do hit a problem, Mike’s help, advice and assistance is right there 24/7. It’s always reassuring to have someone with that much business experience just a phone call away! Also, we’ve got a brilliant Maid2Clean forum for franchisees, where you can pick up tons of useful tips on running your business successfully.

All in all, Maid2Clean has proved a tremendous opportunity which I have grasped with both hands. I’m already making twice my old salary and the business continues to grow month on month. A huge demand is out there. Its hard work, but, with Maid2Clean, IT REALLY DOES WORK!"

Karen Hawes - Maid2Clean Northampton
Having spent 12 years bringing up children, the prospect of returning to employment was not an attractive one. Over a period of 3 months, my husband and I looked at just about every franchise available in the UK as well as a few established business that were up for sale.
We quickly concluded that the Maid2Clean proposition was right for us. The prospect of flexi bible working hours with good, residual returns and a relatively low investment was particularly attractive. 9 months later I am in charge of a successful and profitable business. I still have time to 'do lunch' with my friends while earning a respectable income. More importantly for me, my hourly rate is much higher than I could ever have hoped for in a 'proper job'!
