...Because they all reached the finals in ITV’s This Morning Mumpreneur competition!
Runners up Sharon Ward, Lynn Oakes and Pamela Lowes are all seen here with Claire O’Conner who managed to walk away with the first prize.
All MumsClubbers, they managed to beat thousands of other mums who entered the competition.
They all had to appear live on national TV, on numerous occasions to pitch their ideas to the panel of judges which included entrepreneurs Tim Cambell, who won the first Apprentice; Emma Harrison, Chairman and founder of A4e; and Judy Naake, who brought St Tropez to the UK...
...but only our mums were good enough for the finals and to win! We’re all very proud of them and wish them all the very best!
Although there could only be one winner, lots of our mums were put through to the heats and further, so here’s a bit more about them...
(Winner) Claire O’Connor, creator of baby ballet is is also one of the final 12 and is absolutely delighted to be through to the finals. Claire feels this is huge recognition for all the hard work and dedication that she, the Head office team and all the franchisees have put into making babyballet the friendliest and most fun dance school in the country. She says, "getting through to the live finals is such an honour. I am so proud and I am so excited (yet very nervous!) about appearing on the show. Its a dream come true so thank you in advance to everybody who votes for babyballet".
Baby Ballet is a pre-school dance franchise which provides classes, parties, events and a cute range of uniform and merchandise.
(Runner up) Sharon Ward was next, who started Teddy and Me; tiny clothes for premature babies. She was selected to take part in the London heats from which three mums were chosen to go forward to the live finals.
Sharon told us “I’m another MumsClubber who’s been keeping a secret I’m through to the finals of the ITV Mumpreneur competition too! I’ve had to keep my secret for a whole five weeks! I’m overjoyed!”
And about her experience she said “We were required to do a two minute pitch, Dragons Den style and needed two judges to say yes to move on to the next stage. Although my pitch isn’t shown, the judges loved my clothes and each said yes! When they announced I was through to the finals I couldn’t believe it! I still can’t now really!”
(Runner up) Lynn Oakes, a mumsclubber made it through to the last 12 alongside her business partner Pamela Lowes representing their company milky moo moo. They snapped up the last available spot at the Glasgow heats! They are overjoyed as both have been working stupid hours since they launched in 2007. Although Lynn dreaded the pitch, she had to re-do it at the end of the day due to noise outside and so Lynn lived in fear all day.
Lynn says “It was great to get all the judges positive feedback and each said yes!!! Another good thing about the day was meeting a lot of mum's in the same boat hard-working and juggling family and business life like Jekyll and Hyde. Thanks to all mumsclubbers and Jane for their kind words and continuing support and good luck for all of us in the finals!”
Lynn apologises for the picture but being from 2 different parts of the country and both hating having our photo taken, this was the best Lynn could muster up in a hurry!!!

Alison Rothwell was the first MumsClubber to make it through to the regional finals. Alison, Director of organic kids clothing company Arabella Miller made it all the way to the semi-finals.
Alison is one of the winners from the Northern heat which took place in Manchester in August. Speaking about her success Alison told us "Although I was very nervous, the This Morning team were great and the panel experience was very positive and encouraging. It was great to meet other MumsClubbers there too!"
Arabella Miller produces funky clothing for children aged 0-6 years certified organic by the Soil Association and available from Arabella Miller and from independent boutiques.

Bev Powell, designer of the Fun N Gate activity safety gate, says “I really enjoyed being in the Mumpreneur competition , I got to make some new friends as well as appear on This Morning!”
