What are the key features of the products or services that your business offers:
We offer premature baby clothes in a variety or fabrics and stretchy materials. We can advise you on the best garments to give your tiny baby a better fit, slimmer fit, even smaller fitting or larger fittings to give small babies, no matter what size, a more comfortable wear.

When did you start up in business?
2005

How did you decide what business to go into, and what was your motivation?
24 years working with children, illness forces retirement. Granddaughter born so surplus boys clothes were sold on ebay for next to nothing, yet similar lot when for £80.00. Motivated to see why my lot only sold for £1.80 and a complaint on too high a postage too. Researched and ended up major premature baby clothes online retailer and manufacturer.

What were the most challenging aspects to setting up?
Fighting against local Tesco expanding

Have, or do you do anything out of the ordinary to benefit your business?
Y
es we give customers a little something special for free just. We provide free ‘become a better parent’ workshops .(see newspaper article) I give gifts, my time, my commitment, and pass on my knowledge free.

What stage is your business at now & what are your plans for the future?
To take on extra staff, to enable us to offer our services to hospitals.

How do you manage to juggle your business with family life? Has it been challenging?
As a Christian I also like to help people first; lend a hand & help with charities. A friend once said you need something done ask a busy person. I keep in touch with networking in the evening, spend quality time with my granddaughter and teach her to read and write, chill out in evening with husband, family have no choice but to help out during the day especially if they want it left to them in my will later on.

Has online networking, specifically with other mums, benefited your business?
Making contacts, finding resources, helping out new mums starting a business so they don't experience some of the mistakes I made, they in turn spread the word about us as a business later.

What resources do you NOT have now that might make your life easier?
Someone to make our Nany Nicu on a bigger scale

What advice would you give another mum considering starting her own business?
Get advice first do something you are passionate about so when the going gets tough you still love what you do. So you don't waste time,money,energy.
