Shush Marketing Limited is a direct sales company specialising in selling surplus and end-of-season lines of ladies and gents clothing, watches, jewellery and footwear from the UK's most respected and leading fashion brands. 

Our stock is 100% authentic as we work closely with the companies who own, or have the licence to distribute these brands. These companies prefer us to sell their clearance goods rather than discount outlets as our sales methods are very professional and discreet. We sell these products with the least amount of exposure to the public, so there’s no harm to the brands integrity and it helps maintain a healthier retail environment for the outlets who sell them. 

Work Description:

Products are sold at discounted prices direct to customers who initially may be family and friends. A lucrative option to build a small business selling goods via party plan and arranging sales in large companies, call centres, gymnasiums and small businesses such as hair / beauty salons, is both very exciting and rewarding. After being fully trained and advised, some of our agents undertake a sales method where they call into local businesses and sell stock direct to staff. All methods offer flexibility and achieve that work / life balance for you and your family.

Average hours per week:

It’s up to you! It will be your own business so you can build it with our full support at your own pace. As an example, most of our current mums who have to drop the kids off and pick up from school, arrange sales locally within businesses and gyms so that they can start at 10am and finish at 2pm. Some arrange house parties in the evening leaving their partner in charge of the kids.

Investment required:

This is a genuine business opportunity so you will be required to buy stock. There are no other costs involved except for business cards, stationary and points of sale, if you require them. We do not have any set minimum amounts of stock which you have to purchase, but suggest people start by selling to family and friends, in which case would need around £300 - £500 of stock. This would enable you to offer a good selection for sale and see the huge potential this job has to offer.

We have a company-buy-back/refund policy should you wish to return your stock.

Earning Potential:

On an average, our part time sales people with family commitments earn around £20,000 in their first year. People able to work near to full time hours, being 9am-5pm and 4/5 days per week earn around £35,000 - £40,000 in their first year. Profits increase year on year due to building a reliable customer base and through other opportunities available.

Experience Required:

Our stock sells itself so you don’t have to! The brands we work for and the price you would be selling each item for, creates a buzz and excitement with customers, so it’s easy to sell our products. One of our top sales people used to be a mechanic, so there’s no sales experience required!

Training & Support:

We offer full training and support every step of the way. If you succeed, we succeed, and with an already established sales team, everyone welcomes new people by giving advice and tips.

We love to see people succeed so we help everyone with stock purchasing, how to sell and set out your stalls through to managing your own business accounts. We have everything you’d ever need to set up a business, already in place, including letters to send out promoting what you do, so all you have to do is concentrate on building a round or booking in the sales. 

Car Required:

A car is an essential tool in creating a substantial business.

Storage Required:

A small place would be required to store stock; everything comes packaged in boxes so they could be easily stored on top of each other.

I am a working mother with 2 children aged 9 and 12.  I have worked in an office based environment all my working life and decided that I needed a change.  I researched Shush Marketing Ltd,  a direct sales Company specialising in selling surplus and end of season lines from famous named brands, and since starting working on a self employed basis with the support and expertise of Shush I have never looked back!!

The reason this job was so appealing to me was that it is possible to juggle working and being a mum, as you can easily fit the hours around your children’s school day.  I spent many years previously paying out hundreds of pounds in child care costs! - in this job I have not had to do that. 

I started working doing party plan, so I could book parties during the evenings whilst my husband was at home, however, I built up my customer base quite rapidly so that now I can work from 9.30am to 3.00pm (during school hours) which is ideal.   

I now work on average between 3 and 4 days a week, but as my working day fits in around the children the actual hours worked are part time. I do any computer related or office based paper work either on a day I have no sales appointments or during the evening when the children are in bed.

A car is required for this job to enable stock to be transported to customers, and you do need space at home to store stock (I use a downstairs cloakroom!!). 

shush marketing work from homeRealistic average earnings given the part time hours I work are around £20,000 to 25,000 pa.  (Full time earnings are £35,000 +) Like any other job, you get out of it what you put into it, but I have found this to be the most exiting and enjoyable job I have ever done, and as you are working on a self employed basis you are your own boss!.

The initial set up costs for stock are variable, basically whatever you can afford. From then on you are ready to trade straight away and earn a fantastic salary from day 1. Expenses incurred are usually the cost of running a vehicle, mobile phone and stationery thereafter.   

I work within a maximum 40 minute drive from home, and have set times agreed with my customers prior to my sale, which enables me to be in control with regard to my working hours.

The Company Director is extremely supportive and encouraging, and is always at the end of the phone to discuss any queries that may arise. Initial training is given, along with ongoing support.

I would recommend this job to anyone who wants to fit a home business life around being a mother - this is a job that can make you feel in control, exhilarated and financially secure.
