HOW DOES IT WORK?
StartUp Britain pulls together a range of practical resources to help people strike out and start up – from advice on marketing and practical help with legal issues, to discounts on the materials needed to start a business. All advice, offers and discounts are drawn together on a one-stop-shop web portal that aims to inspire, encourage and help anyone thinking about starting a company or growing a business.
We help by:
- Directing start ups and small business owners to useful resources and corporate offers
- Shining a spotlight on enterprising events, awards and programmes
- Matching young start up mentees with successful entrepreneur mentors
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
As a private sector organisation that relies on companies of all sizes in all sectors getting involved, StartUp Britain asks you to play a part:
- Pledge your support and endorse the campaign
- Be inspired by the campaign and launch your own StartUp activity
- Become a StartUp Local champion to encourage and support enterprise in your area
- Offer discounts on products or services to entrepreneurs and start-ups
- Promote StartUp Britain to your customers and colleagues
- Offer a helping hand to small firms and start-ups in your area – for example, through sharing services and facilities, or mentoring
- Link up your existing pro-enterprise efforts with the StartUp Britain campaign
